Lapel Stony Creek Fire Territory - Fire House Drive

The Lapel Stony Creek Fire Territory covers Lapel, Stony Creek Township, parts of Green Township and Jackson Township.

We have two ambulances, grass truck, command vehicle, engine rescue, engine and one tanker.

We have been at our current station since the 1940's. The current Fire House used to be the Train Depot, where passengers would disembarq as the train made stops here in Lapel.

Our goal is to build a new Fire Station at the location of the Girls Softball Diamond east of the Lapel Water Tower. With the Softball Diamond being moved to the Elementary School and closer to the Boys Diamond.

Out current station is falling down around us, walls are shifting, the roof is leaking and our trucks barely fit into the bays.

We actually had to build our newest truck to fit the station, we had to reduce the length and volume of water it is able to carry. - Todd Sears

We want to raise 2 million dollars for our new facility, which would include living quarters for fire fighters on call so they can sleep and shower on station. It would also include new training equipment and gear.
